You have completed the screener

Thank You!

Thank you for taking the time to complete our screener. We are so excited about you possibly joining our research study!

If you qualify for the study, a researcher will follow up with you shortly via a 15-minute phone call to provide a quick introduction to the study and answer any questions you may have.

When would be a good time for you? (8-hour time block)

Once you have completed the pre-interview call, the recruiters will confirm the dates and times for your interview sessions.

You will also receive the following via email:

Introductory email to the project

DocuSign email with a consent form that you may sign electronically.

Optionally, the researcher may have a physical copy for you to sign on the day of your one-on-one interview.

Please also be prepared to present our proof of vaccination and/ or take a self-administered rapid COVID-19 test.  We will proceed with the interview once you have a negative result, but we will compensate you for your time. Test kits will be provided by the researcher.

Is this something you are OK doing?

The 6-hour in-person research activities will include:

A 4.5-hour immersive interview discussion about your background and changing roles of your home and technological set-up as it relates to computing for both recreational and professional purposes, including your concerns or opinions about health and wellness, and sustainability

A 20-minute observational tour of their home.

A 30-minute observational tour of the physical space where you compute from.

A 30-minute breaching exercise in which you would pretend to be shopping for a new computing setup while walking the researcher through your considerations.

You will receive compensation ($750 US for a 6-hour session).  If you participate in the 2-hour follow-up session, you will also receive an additional. You will be paid by the recruiters when the study wraps in January 2022.

Feel free to reach out to us if you have any further questions or concerns. Thank you again and have a great day
